I notice that when I send email campaigns they will sometimes wind up in different folders in my Gmail account. I'm wondering if anyone has any insight into why a certain email template would wind up in a promotions folder as opposed to the main one? Does it have to do with the number of CTA's or graphics embedded in the email? Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
So many factors will play into that, but yes too many links or images in the email could land your email in the Promotions folder. Other "spammy" terms like "$", "save", and "discount" can also register the email as spam and wind up there as well.
