For future reader, here is Marketo support answer:
1) Marketo cannot rename the Field to its original name as it doesn't have the ability to do so.
Also Marketo also has limited permission on that Field as it is under Salesforce Objects
Sync not under Marketo Field Management.
Which is quite weird since Marketo (product) did rename the field
It's not that a minor issue, since tens of users will permanently look for a key field and not find it.
