In order to engage members and prospects, we use many marketing channels – from social media to event marketing to PR to Google AdWords – and of course, we rely heavily on direct marketing, which is where you come in. You will help us inform members and prospects about our portfolio and engage them in our numerous activities.
We are seeking a hands-on person who can own email marketing from start to finish. You will create, deliver, track and analyze numerous email campaigns, as you: pull lists, design landing pages, develop trigger campaigns, and report out on metrics. You will analyze A/B tests and develop a systematic approach to split testing campaigns.
Your objectives are to improve direct marketing metrics and to cultivate and nurture leads which support our sales teams in their outreaches. In addition, this role will assist people across the organization to draw actionable conclusions by providing analytical support.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
You must have a Bachelor’s degree with a focus in marketing, IT or another analytical discipline, as well as 1 -3 years’ experience in a direct marketing role, including the creation and deployment of digital marketing campaigns using an automated marketing platform; we strongly prefer Marketo certification. You also need high level MS Excel skills, including strong experience using pivot tables, lookup and other analytical formulas to analyze large datasets (you will be tested). We also seek expert-level HTML skills; it is crucial that the successful candidate is able to take design ideas from across the organization and create HTML assets from those designs.
You should also have a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to strategically position products and promotions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work quickly are essential. You will enjoy the opportunity to present your results to senior leadership on a regular basis.
This role is based in Manhattan, and while we enjoy the opportunity to work remotely as agreed to with our managers, you will be required to come in to our HQ offices in mid-town on a regular, scheduled basis.
