Over the past decade NACD’s impact, value, membership, event attendance and revenue have grown significantly, and the NACD brand has never been stronger. At present, the NACD team is working to achieve consistently high levels of performance across all touch points—including our 22 chapters in locations from Boston to Southern California.

The E-mail Marketing Manager is an eager, experienced team player with a "can do" attitude who enjoys a fast-paced environment to execute e-mail campaigns for the organization. Working collaboratively with cross-functional team members and segment marketing leaders, the E-mail Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, executing and optimizing a range of e-mail campaigns with the goal of driving relevance, impact and business goals. He/she will be NACD’s resident e-mail marketing expert.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Using Marketo, create, test, and deploy transactional and promotional e-mail campaigns.

 Create, test, and deploy landing pages for select campaigns using Marketo and other solutions.

 Suggest, develop and implement trigger, drip, and nurture campaigns.

 Manage lead scoring methodology.

 Coordinate with segment marketing leaders and cross-functional team members to calendar all activity to meet desired execution dates, maximize audience, and minimize conflict.

 Develop and continually improve processes for trafficking e-mail assets/copy from internal stakeholders.

 Develop and maintain responsive Marketo-based e-mail templates, troubleshoot issues, and stay abreast of technology advances.

 Test, analyze and report on e-mail campaign performance on a recurring basis. Identify trends and opportunities for improved open, click thru and conversion rates.

 Proactively monitor list quality, and work to ensure the health of e-mail data and track growth of lists.

 Champion e-mail governance best practices.

 Develop strong understanding of database segments to ensure strict adherence to inclusion/exclusion of various segments per e-mail execution.

 Assist chapter administrators with Marketo on-boarding and troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Experience

 5+ years professional marketing experience

 Strong Marketo experience (emails, landing pages, drip streams, smart lists, lead scoring)

 SalesForce experience (field creation, campaign set up, reports)

 Expert on e-mail best practices, technologies, trends and CAN-SPAM laws

 Proven experience in A/B and multivariate test design, execution and analysis

 Must be able to succeed in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment

 Strong understanding of feedback loops, whitelists, and IP reputation

 Basic HTML/CSS knowledge

 Experience building landing page templates

 Experience using Excel
