I have a very private list of people that I want to email from Marketo. This is a static list as these people are NOT in our database, nor do we want them in there.
Is there a way to lock my static list so that no one else can pull it or use it?
My first question would be, why would you want to send them an email through Marketo (a specific email, track responses, etc.)? and how many people are on the list?
You could upload the static list into Marketo, send them the email, then add a trigger to mark them as Marketing Suspended after you send the email. At that point you will be able to track their activity, responses, etc. and no one will be able to pull them into a campaign.
Hope that helps!
We have several business units in our organization.
The reason we are sending promo emails out through Marketo is because we will need to track and report on all SBUs emails that go out for our large Corporate Event.
We do not, however, want the other SBUs to have access to this list.
Is it possible to password protect the list?

I don't believe you can password protect the list. Your only other option would be to look into workspaces and lead partitions if you instance allows it. I'm haven't used it myself, so I can't write about it, but there is some information in the community on it.
Hope that helps. Best of Luck!
Why don't you create a partition for this list-- create a field and use that field to drive users into this specific partition?
