I need help with a smart list filter.

I need help with a smart list filter.  I am trying to select leads with job titles that contain specific abbreviations. A problem occurs when the abbreviation is embedded in other job title terms. For example IT is often used as an abbreviation for Information Technology in job titles in our industry. When I include IT in the filter Job Title contains I receive many results for unwanted job titles including terms such as Writer, City, Unit, Reliability, Facilities, etc.  In Excel I can include a space before the abbreviation and filter out the unwanted job titles.  I tried adding a space in the smart list filter with no success.  Any suggestions?

          Hi Jim,

As of now, Marketo can't look for a space.  Here's what I do as a workaround.  If I'm looking for a space before the word, I add every letter before the word in my smart list.  So, if you're looking for a title that contains a space before the IT, your smart list filter would look like this:

          Title contains:

          a IT

          b IT

          c IT

          d IT

          e IT

          f IT

          g IT

          h IT

          i IT

          j IT

          k IT

          l IT

          m IT

          n IT

          o IT

          p IT

          q IT

          r IT

          s IT

          t IT

          u IT

          v IT

          w IT

          x IT

          y IT

          z IT
