Hello all,

We're looking to step up our communications and presence in the mobile advertising and analytics space. We need a Marketo star who can own and drive our creative communications with a natural curiosity to test and optimize. I've been with Marchex for 9 months and it's great mix of established company with start-up creativity and nimbleness. Demand Generation Manager

How you can impact Marchex:


As the hub of customer and prospect communications, you have a passion for creating and managing demand generation and nurture programs, including the ability to orchestrate every detail and then measure results. You’re naturally curious and have a drive to improve program performance. You’re a Marketo rock star and you know it.  And when you bring all of this together to iterate and improve on our demand generation strategies, you help drive key deliverables and revenue forward.



Here is what success looks like for our Demand Generation Manager:

  • You establish yourself as the SME of Marchex demand generation across multiple teams, including to the C-level, and work successfully with cross-functional disciplines like sales and product management
  •    You can illustrate and communicate to senior leadership where leads come from, and why, and offer creative insights on how to increase the lead flow (ie: webinars, SEM/remarketing, social and native   advertising, automated outbound campaigns, etc.)
  •   You develop a way to score leads and how to nurture the most promising
  •    You use data to regularly and consistently measure and report pipeline metrics and provide ROI analysis and insights
  •    You work with marketing automation and tools (Marketo and Salesforce) to build reports, monitor programs and deliver integrated marketing campaigns

Experience that will help you be most successful:

  •   Demand generation marketing: you’ve already spent at least 6 successful years doing things like creating, executing, analyzing and measuring global inbound and outbound demand generation strategies and programs
  • Technology: you are an analytical and savvy “digital native” who understands online advertising tracking technologies and are familiar with HTML.
  • Customer segmentation: you understand how to do it, and you get database structures to help with that process
  • CRM and marketing automation systems: Marketo and Salesforce are ideal
  •   B2B acquisition: at the enterprise level is even better
  •    Communication: both written and verbal; you’ll work with many stakeholders and need to be able to drive messages to actions
  •    Teamwork: you’ve successfully managed relationships across multiple teams and disciplines
  •   Juggling: priorities, that is; you’ve handled multiple initiatives while maintaining a high attention to detail and meeting or beating deadlines
  •   Flexibility: the kind that helps you adapt to rapidly evolving requirements and business needs
  •    Customer service: it’s an attitude really; you’ve shown a strong commitment to quality and results
  •    Creative, resourceful thinking: you can get outside of the box, or do away with the box altogether
  •   Education: a degree in business, marketing or communications can be leveraged for success
