So, we ended up creating several new record types for Contacts, and this caused our SFDC sync to fail - which we didn't realize for a few days. The issue has been resolved, but for all of those folks who should have been added to a SFDC campaign were not... Now I need to add all those who didn't sync to the appropriate campaigns. Any thoughts on an easy way to do this? There's a few hundred records, so manually adding seems unrealistic...
I'm assuming that you have your system set up to automatically sync to SFDC campaigns and don't push manually? IE you push campaigns at the program level
You COULD push smart campaigns within each program to the respective SFDC campaigns; they won't add duplicates. However if you've synced at the campaign level, you may have to unsync in order to do this. I'd check with support and see if you have to unsync, then resync.
