Completed test still sending test emails

I declared a winner for an email split test last week, but then just yesterday one of my seeded test leads was delivered to me and it was the losing version. I have triple checked that I declared the correct winner, and there is no other campaign that uses this email. I'm completely confused as to how this happened.


The only thing I can think of is this: the email is scheduled to send after a wait step of a few days - when does Marketo decide that a lead will be sent a test variant? When the lead enters the flow, or when it meets the "send email" flow action?
