    Identifying Leads

    Karen Black
Is it possible to identify leads in Marketo that come to our website through links from another companies website?

Hi Karen - Yes, mostly. When you go to Analytics ---> Web Page Activity report in Marketo, the HTTP Referrer column will show you which other websites are people coming to your site from. Alternatively, if you do have forms on web pages that you're directing people to, you could be passing values into hidden fields on your form, so when people do fill out those forms, you can identify which sites drove those people to your site. Example the links you publish on LinkedIn might say www.cadence.com?lsd=LinkedIn, while the link on Twitter might say www.cadence.com?lsd=Twitter. Of course these are just sample links, but that's another option. More on URL Parameters can be found here: https://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000LH7uCAG

          Hope this helps. Thanks!!
