Hi Erin, are leads being pushed through to Salesforce from another API e.g. a sync from another internal system? Or could this lead have been created by a Salesforce user? I believe the way RingLead works is to merge two existing Marketo leads and so it might be worth searching for the same email address in the Marketo Lead Database to see if there is a duplicate. We had to go through several rounds of communication with RingLead to make sure it was all working correctly.
This means the lead originally came in from SFDC, probably created by Sales.
In this case, it seems that RingLead may have created the record as part of its cleanup process. As Zain suggested, check if there are dupes, or if the record was somehow created as part of an appending process.
