Lead Email Address Token Populating Wrong Email Address

When using the lead email address token on a landing page, we have found that some are populating the wrong email address. People will register for the event on the landing page for form using their email address and then on the confirmation landing page, it will autopopulate a different email address.

Has anybody else run into this? Any thoughts or suggestions on how to fix this issue?

Thanks!

To clarify, are people using the same computer to register (like at a trade show)?

No, registering from their own computers.

Re: Lead Email Address Token Populating Wrong Email Address

Don't know if it's related, but I'm having this issue currently with emails with the lead email address token populating the wrong email address. SOLVED mine. Copy and paste was done and though the old email address was deleted, the editor kept the link in the background. When the token was added, it was inserted within the old tags (as GUI editors love to do). As the HTML was not directly eyeballed, this was missed because in preview the link was highlighted, as it should be as a link with a mailto. It was only on hover and clicking that it was shown to be directing to the wrong link.
