Not currently supported in Marketo, but it's probably something that is in the works as more and more marketing shifts to mobile.
This sounds like a great idea Mike, and certainly would be possible for Landing Page visits at least, as Marketo tracks and stores the user agent information on LPs. I'd suggest creating an idea thread on the community so Marketo take notice :)
Just a thought, I hope this may work to give some insights.
In your email, you can add a blank page URL/Blank image, which will be called when any user opens this email. Now, if you have Google Analytics code implemented, you can track the traffic to this URL/Event for each of the device.
Marketo doesn't support this currently but some email marketing service providers have started tracking this.
