Launching Sales Insight to the Sales Team can be the biggest win of the whole deployment. We normally do it in a pilot format with a formal kick-off and weekly team calls for 4-6 weeks. It is best to develop custom step-by-step guides with screen-captures specific to your instance of Salesforce. The biggest request you will get is how to create custom views not based on lead/contact ownership as well as how to send ssales emails to a list view...Let me know if you would like more specifics.
Thanks Mark. But this is my concern - everything Marketo offers is focused around Salesforce. We are not using Salesforce. Sometimes I think Marketo forgets a portion of their customer base use other platforms other than SFDC. If the feature sets were the same across all CRM platforms, this wouldn't be an issue. But that's not the case. In fact, today you can't even send Marketing emails out of SI for Dynamics CRM.
Got it. You can still get HUGE traction with the other parts of Sales Insight you do have...focus on the visability they will now have to engagment in real-time.
You bring up several good points. Marketo is definately building out thier integration with other CRM platforms. They are still a little weak on the MS Dynamic side. I would suggest looking at some of the consultants out there. Some of them tend to have a little more experience with MS Dynamics than most of the folks at Marketo, and they may be able to provide some better training to you and your team.
