Check out this blog:http://blog.wordtothewise.com/2013/12/gmail-deploys-image-proxy-servers/This definitely changes things. Once gmail user downloads an image, Google iwll cache it and will not require the next open to download the image.
So, I think that the initial download will still happen, therefore that first open, but not subsequent opens.
Anyone else have insight? Huge impact here..
I really think Marketo should chime in here and provide some insight/information, instead of leaving it up to us, their customers, to resolve this major issue. I don't see anything in Help Articles or Resources. I understand it's relatively new issue, but I'd like to see something that states they are aware of it, or are working on a possible solution, or something. Amything.
