                Accela is seeking a passionate marketing professional to manage marketing programs and activities that build and systematically impact demand across both value and volume segments of our business. This includes developing our demand management and marketing programs strategy, plans and budget, and managing execution of all of our demand generation and pipeline impacting activities. This person will lead our demand generation services team focused on identifying and qualifying opportunities and will build our inside marketing capability to generate and effectively manage demand with smaller state and municipal agencies.  This person will also work closely with sales operations to ensure policies, practices and use of marketing and sales automation tools are optimized for the needs of the business.

                The ideal candidate will have a history of delivering results in building and managing demand, leading to significant revenue growth in a technology business. We’re looking for a metrics-driven professional (read:  pipeline pitbull) who will help us plan and execute with precision and efficiency. Experience with cloud computing, subscription licensing, and direct and indirect sales models is essential.  Public sector experience serving large and small public agencies is a strong plus.

      Specific Responsibilities:

      •                Develop demand management strategy, plan, and budget
      •                Manage demand generation services team and opportunity production
      •                Implement volume demand management processes
      •                Manage marketing operations policies, practices and activities
      •                Execute integrated demand generation campaigns and activities appropriate for each segment of our business
      •                Implement systematic nurture and opportunity qualification
      •                Monitor and report on key pipeline volume, value and velocity metrics
      •                Work closely with field sales, inside sales and partners to route opportunities effectively and drive timely sales opportunity acceptance
      •                Work with partners on joint demand generation activities

                Desired Skills & Experience

      Required Qualifications:

      •                Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications or equivalent experience
      •                Experience building and managing teams with track record of meeting/exceeding demand management objectives
      •                Strong problem solving and analytical skills
      •                Outstanding written and oral communications skills
      •                Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively to achieve cross-team objectives
      •                Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience utilizing Salesforce and Marketo
      •                Experience with government technology a strong plus

       Desired Qualifications

      •                Master’s degree
