Changing CNAME: Impact on old links and landing pages?

I'm finally getting around to changing our CNAME from the default (I know, I know - should have done this ages ago!). My understanding is that there is one CNAME for emails links and one for landing page links. If I change from the default will it screw up all the existing links I have out there? Will I need to update everything?

Alisa, we did this long after we started using Marketo and it has no impact on the existing links.  Essentially the CNAME is just an alias that redirects the your main domain.
