Hi Elaine, the process with telemarketing vendors need to be addressed. And before that, I am going to import your list of new leads in Marketo. To share with the rest of the Marketo Community: we had a meeting in Paris early February with the GTM managers, Angélique, Margaux and it was decided the following considering that the Sales team is responsible for the Contact database in SFDC. - For the new leads (not yet Contacts in SFDC, recognized by email address), it has been decided to import them in Marketo, but not in SFDC. I will do the import from Excel files you can provide (respecting guidelines I will share soon with the Community). The idea is to wait your leads to become interested enough in Lectra offer to see them automatically created in the marketing queue in SFDC. Then, if qualified by marketing, pushed them to Sales. Globally, this is the process to apply and it is Sales teams who must decide which lead must become a Contact. - If you want to update current Contacts already in SFDC, the same approach: Marketing is not the one who must update the Contact database in SFDC but it is the sales team who must decide if the updates are worth it or not. Updating the Contact database a list import is too risky because it can delete previous updates done by Sales. So for this case, you must communicate the new data to sales (giving them excel file for example) and then they will decide to update them or not manually in SFDC.
