As we continue to rollout the first phase of the next-generation experience, which you can read more about here, we wanted to provide a few updates that we have rolled out and others that we are working on getting updated as soon as possible.
Updated and Rolled Out
Over the last few weeks we have:
Being Worked On
We also want to acknowledge that we are very actively reviewing, analyzing, and implementing feedback from our customers.
There has been some feedback about the iconography and color schemes used in the new experience. Based on this feedback, our UX team is actively designing, testing, and scoping an implementation of updated iconography and state badges to solve for this pain point.
Additionally, we are excited to announce that drag-and-drop is slated to be available in the tree again in Q1 of 2021. We understand that the temporary absence of drag and drop is frustrating to some users. As a reminder, drag and drop is temporarily unavailable in the tree only in order to prioritize move actions that meet WCAG accessibility standards and to provide an experience that is usable for ALL customers.
“We are building the functionality so all users can complete key workflows as a top priority, and then adding features that represent enhancements for specific user groups. Users who rely on the keyboard to interact with software user interfaces are unable to use drag and drop features - these users may be people with Repetitive Stress Injuries who experience pain from continued mouse use, people who rely on speech to text tools that operate using the keyboard interface, users who rely on screen readers and do not place items based on visual cues, users with fine motor control challenges, and more.”
