Whitelisting of Marketo IP's

I've been setting up a webhook from Marketo to our company and everything worked fine from sandbox when I enabled the access from Marketo IP as is written on Whitelist Page

But from production environment it allways fails with message "couldn't connect to host".

I logged the traffic and discovered that there is IP address range missing in that article 98.129.93.0 / 24 ? or something of that kind.

Nothing happened after adding a comment into article, so I try this discussion.

Re: Whitelisting of Marketo IP's

It may be set by a corporate firewall. However I believe that IP may be not accurate:

brenogomes$ ping 98.129.93.0
PING 98.129.93.0 (98.129.93.0): 56 data bytes
Request timeout for icmp_seq 0
^C
--- 98.129.93.0 ping statistics ---
2 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100.0% packet loss

brenogomes$ dig 98.129.93.0

Re: Whitelisting of Marketo IP's

Hello again,
Thank you for quick answer, but the IP 98.129.93.0 / 24  means IP range from IP addresses 98.129.93.0 to  98.129.93.255.
After adding of this filter the webhook is passing through firewall fine, but the article that I mentioned does not contain this IP address range, so I was unable to filter it properly for first time.

I'd like to suggest to update that whitelist  table with all IP addresses from which may the emails/ webhooks  come.

Re: Whitelisting of Marketo IP's

The whitelist is primarily intended for emails. It makes sense to consider a separate article for webhooks though.

Re: Whitelisting of Marketo IP's

Yes that's true, it is primarily for emails, new article will be fine, but most probably there will be the same IP ranges....
