Hi there
We're going through the new Advanced business analtyics reporting and we're noticing that the months are formated as "text" which is causing the sorting to be alphabetical rather than chronoligical. Is there any hack to easily fix this?
For example in the email analysis, when you create a report with a Sent Date - See screenshot Email Analysis by Month Example Report
Not everyone's fiscal year is calendar year based so this formatting makes it wonky
Yeah, I tried this as well and I’m facing the same issue. Since the months are formatted as plain text (e.g., "January", "February", etc.), the sorting ends up being alphabetical instead of in proper chronological order — which definitely makes trend analysis a bit messy.
I haven’t found a native fix yet within the Advanced Business Analytics interface. One workaround I was considering is exporting the report and manually converting the month column into a proper date format in Excel or Sheets for analysis. But that defeats the purpose of having this report within Marketo.
Would be great if Marketo could allow us to format or sort based on actual date fields, or at least provide a numeric month value alongside the label. Curious if anyone found a better workaround.
Hi @ovhcloud_bg ,
Yes in the BI interface the Month field is defined as text & hence the sorting issue.
But you can always export the report data in excel & use the excel sorting to get the desired out put.
Hope this Helps 😊
