marketo deletes body tag

I designed an email in Dreamweaver and pasted the HTML into my email editor in Marketo, but when I try to approve the draft it says it can't because I have no body tag. So I go back to the email, edit the html to include the opening and closing body tags, go back to approve, and it says the same thing. When I look at my html again, the body tags have been deleted.

Can someone help?

I regularly design in Dreamweaver and paste into Marketo with no issue (the email in question was even started using the HTML from another email that the Marketo editor approved), so I don't know why this is happening. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sarah,

Not sure, if this piece of information is useful.

But, are you using a new MKT-uniquie ID for new template for email? Please do check that, as each template should have unqiue ID and  some hTML tags are not accepted by Marketo.

Can you try this with a different browser? It would help with narrowing down the possiblities of why this is happening.
