Which certification is right for me? We offer two levels of certification. The Marketo Certified Associate is a foundational designation designed to demonstrate a candidate’s knowledge in marketing automation, general marketing concepts, and email marketing. The Marketo Certified Expert designation is a technical marketing credential that validates competency, expertise, and operational knowledge in the broad use of Marketo. For the MCA exam, you will have 90 minutes to complete 60 multiple choice questions. A timer will be on the screen during the exam to keep you updated on the time remaining. We do not provide any feedback with specific answers or test content. When you get your results email upon completion of the test, there will be an overall score as well as a score by topic area. The score breakdown by topic area should give you a good understanding of your strengths and weaknesses in various areas. How long does my certification last? MCE Certification is valid for two years. As the Marketo product advances and develops new features and capabilities, we need to ensure our experts are up to speed. MCA Certification does not expire. Specializations do not expire. How do I maintain my MCE credential? MCE certification must be renewed every 2 years. You must receive a passing score when taking the current MCE exam to maintain the credential. Why do I not need to maintain my MCA credential? The MCA designation is an entry-level credential to both Marketo and marketing automation and has been designed to be a stepping stone that leads to expert-level knowledge that would come from achieving the next level of Marketo certification. Do I need any special equipment to take a virtual class?
Marketo University hosts virtual training on Adobe Connect. We recommend using a wired headset or headphone connection and computer audio for the training. More information about using Adobe Connect is here.
What options for live training are there outside the US?

What is the cost for a Learning Passport and what does it include? We have two options for the subscription . Our full-access passport that includes both on-demand and live, instructor-led classes costs 5,000 USD for one user for one year. Our e-learning passport that includes self-paced courses costs 2,500 USD for one user for one year. How do I purchase a course individually or together, but not through a subscription? For customers who wish to p ay via sales order through your account , email firstname.lastname@example.org . You will get a quote to be signed in order to enroll, then the company's billing address will receive an invoice 10-15 business days later. For non-customers or any customers who prefer to pay with credit card, you can do this through your Marketo University account. WebAssessor is not connected to your Marketo login. If you have not created a Marketo Webassessor account, you will need to do that before scheduling any exams. Please use a personal email address. What will happen to my Specialization now that the exam is no longer being offered? The Marketo Specialization examinations will retire on January 31, 2019. Current Specialization credential holders or those who were certified before the exam retires will continue to be recognized. Will retakes of the retiring Specialization exams still be allowed after the retirement date? No. Candidates who fail a retiring Specialization examination will be able to retake the exam only BEFORE the retirement date. Candidates should keep in mind that there is a 14-day waiting period to retake a Marketo certification exam. What is the difference between an on-demand class and ILT (Instructor-Led Training)? On-demand courses are recordings the customer can view at any time for the duration of the purchase terms. ILT courses are live and led by an instructor either virtually or in-person. How do I enroll into a live, instructor-led (ILT) course? For a course purchased via credit card, enrollment is complete.
