How to Convert Lead not in MQL stage to Contact in SFDC?

Last week Angelique helped me to import a list of leads into Marketo (around 200 leads). Actually these leads are from our contact enrichment project. The project objective is to generate contacts ( production header, PD header and Design header) for some existing accounts.

Since all these new leads are not hot enough to MQL stage, because currently we don't have any nurturing plan for them. I cannot qualified them and convert them as contacts in SFDC, and we would like sales could see them in SFDC. Could you please help to suggest how to deal with this kind of case? Thanks.

Best,

Elaine

Re: How to Convert Lead not in MQL stage to Contact in SFDC?

Hello Elaine,

Add a non-qualified nor nurtured contact to an account is a questionable question...

The goal of Marketing is to provide qualified and interested contact/lead to Sales (even for existing account). My advice is if you want Sales to qualify those new contact/lead, keep them as lead. It's a way for Sales to know that Marketing added a new person to their account.

Nevertheless, here is how you can make them appear into SFDC:

1/ Select the lead / Lead Action / Salesforce / Sync lead to SFDC:  Lead owner (you have to select the right lead owner for each lead).

2/ If several leads have the same lead owner (that is indicated already in the profile), you can create a smart list, and add in the filter "Lead Owner Last Name" is (name) and  "member of list" is "Telemarketing list Import Difieffi" and then Select the list in the lead tab and do the previous actions.

This will allow you to have the leads into SFDC.

We have done a test on the following lead: Jin Wen (Customer CSN: CH5552)

This is not something we would recommend since the lead has to go through the process of nurturing so that should stay exceptional.
