Marketo Users - Users in deactivated Status shouldn't count toward contracted user amounts

We would like to be able to put Marketo user accounts in deactivated status without having to count that person as a seat within our contracted amount. We like being able to see who exactly made a change to Marketo activities even if that person is no longer with the company. Right now, we have 25 contracted user seats (including API users), so we are challenged on being able to keep the user activity history while also staying within our contracted user limits.

Our recommended solution is to standardized a deactivated user role and not count users with that role in the contracted limits. We also recommend not including the API users within the contracted limits.

I like this! I have already seen an idea for not counting API users so you may want to go give that a thumbs up. Not counting deactivated users would pair beautifully with updates like bulk editing Marketo users and filtering expired users from the list. It could also be nice to have read-only users that did not count towards the limit.

Similar issue reaching the user limit of 25 before more costs.

It would greatly help if API users weren't counted - or counted as one seat.

For ad hoc users that have a shared inbox we decided to merge and they share a Marleto login seat.
Also in Europe when you have someone on say maternity leave for 12 months you want to deactivate them but need cover for replacement so that's 2 seats taken.
