Segmentations function in a waterfall fashion so that a person can only be a member of the first segment for which they qualify. In some views of segmentations these appear in the order in which people can qualify, but in other views it is alphabetical. While most of our marketing activities are executed out of Marketo, there are quite a few where Marketo wasn't used to do the initial outreach.  In-person events are a good example.  When we have an event where Marketo was NOT used to send out invites, collect registrants, etc., it's still important for us to capture those that ATTENDED the event in Marketo.  What we do is create a new event program and manually upoad the list as members (some of them may be new leads - in which Marketo automatically assigns the acquisition program to that lead) and change their program status to "Attended".  For those leads that already exist in Marketo, where Acquisition Program is empty, it would be useful for Marketo to prompt for the Acquisition Program name in Step #3 of the "import members" 3-step process (similar to step #3 of the import list process) - but with a checkbox that says "where acquisition program is empty".  Currently it just prompts you for the Member Status.  This forces us to have to manually create a batch campaign to define the acquisition program (if it's empty). ... I'm currently in the process of backfilling several dozen acquisition programs to have historical members even before the current iteration of the program in order to keep consistency in reporting. While I can timestamp Acquisition Dates pretty effortlessly, adding/changing Acquisition Programs require Smart Campaign changes in order for Marketo to recognize manual overrides; I'd like the ability to add this via list rather than have it blocked by System Management. ... It would be great if there was a series of resources that we could use to sell Marketo internally. We are going through the process of implementing Marketo and need to generate some resources that we can present to the sales team, customer support and executive. Each group needs to understand different elements of the platform. There is a similar idea for adding Engagement Programs to the Program Performance Reporting in RCE. The RCE reports are great but the data presented in the body of the email is truncated and unreadable. Marketo support indicates that the columns are fixed and that you can not disable the body (I was thinking this could force the users to use the attached Excel file only.) As you can see in the example below the data is unintelligble and the links actually point to the incomplete URL. There should be a way to allow the width of the columns to expand so the user is not presented with an email body that has truncated data that is impossible to understand. ... View more

I recommend Marketo create a way to easily see how the various lists that were selected for an email performed.  Ideally, in the email tab of the marketing activities folder one could go a level deeper and see how each of the lists that were included in the email contributed to the roll-up of the results.  So if 3 Smart Lists or 3 SFDC campaigns made up the Smart List parameters for the email or campaign, it would show all the KPIs for each list and the total of the three would be the total for the email or campaign.  Right now I have not found a way to get this information. ...
