Today, when a Marketo customer uses a native CRM-based sync, Support has the option to map multiple fields together. This goes above and beyond the detection of Lead and Contact fields being linked in Salesforce. For example, if a Lead field and Account field share similar values, a mapping can be made to support both the Lead and Account version of the field as one field.
However, when using the default Marketo objects for a custom sync—Person and Company—there is no way to execute the same concept. As a result, any customer using a fully custom sync must then pull both the Person version of a field and the Company version of a field. CRM-synced customers do not have to do this.
Can the ability to map between Marketo's own objects (or at least between Person and Company) be implemented?
