What is the impact of Salesforce SHA-256 HTTPS certificates?

I received a note from my Salesforce admin telling me that Salesforce is replacing SHA-1 HTTPS certificates with newer SHA-256 certificates, and that everything integrated with Salesforce, including Marketo, needs to be tested.  Does anyone know if Marketo integration supports this?

The Salesforce support article suggests that we need to set up an API test client: https://help.salesforce.com/apex/HTViewSolution?elq_mid=9100&elq_cid=8030550&urlname=HTTPS-Security-Certificate-Switch-from-SHA-1-to-SHA-256-hash-algorithms&language=en_US

Has anyone esle encountered this? Do we need to test it?

Thanks,

Bill

Yes, you need to test it. There is a Feb Update in Marketo that discusses this issue as well. Your developer should know what to do if you have custom API connections. If you have launchpoint partners, this should work fine or you can discuss it with them.

the SFDC-Marketo interface should be auto updated by Marketo.
