Using Marketo as a Reverse IP Lookup solution

Hi,

We are currently facing an expiration of our current reverse ip look up solution, Leadlander, and want to make sure we are using the Marketo web activity features to the best of our abilities as a replacement.

What are the best practices you have used to track inferred company visits, enable sales with web activity, and ensure you get all the correct data from Marketo?

One problem we already know we will have is the data provider such as Verizon or AT&T populating as the company instead of the actual company that visits. How have you solved?

Thanks!

Hi,
I'm not an expert in that so hopefully other people will also give suggestions but you should have a look at Marketo Real-Time Personalization: http://www.marketo.com/software/personalization/

Re: Using Marketo as a Reverse IP Lookup solution

Based on what I read about LeadLander Marketo Real-Time Personalization is very similar and your best bet. ISPs showing up as the company rather than the actual company is inevitable and I haven't found any way around that. If you want to append the company data and find contacts from that company you'll want to look at Data.com as well.
