Updated template and it updated the approved version not the draft

We recently updated our email templates, adding an optional headline.  Changing the template put all our emails (over 60) into "approved with draft" mode, but then the approved version had the default  "insert optional headline" text as well as the draft.  The approved version with default text went out. Is there a way to ensure that an email with default copy does not go out?

Hey Kelly,

When you update a template, the emails behaved correctly in that they became approved with draft. The only way for them to be approved is if a user actually approves them. The approved version should not have taken on the template changes without being approved. I would ask Mkto support about that.

To my knowledge, there is no way to alert yourself if an email has default copy in it.
