Survey Post Event

Does anyone include a link to a survey on your '”Thank you for attending” emails?  It would be great to get a quick rating of the event and receive suggestions for future topics while it is still fresh in their minds.

If you have, it would be great to get your thoughts on the 'gotchas', what worked and types of events surveyed.

Thank you.

Re: Survey Post Event

Yes I did at a previous organization, but we didn't build the surveys in Marketo. We used a survey tool called Qualtrics. We created feedback surveys for all our events, but most particularly webinars. Basically we created a survey "template" in qualtrics that we'd clone, and then put the direct link into our follow up email assets. Not much more to it in than that. Qualtrics also has a handy integration with Salesforce, so it's possible to get your feedback surveys from the tool over into Salesforce, if desired.

You could possibly go the route of building a Marketo form with your survey questions, but it will get pretty unmanageable pretty quickly if you've got a long survey. Marketo isn't a great survey tool, so if you want to do anything fancy with multi select boxes, scaled questions, etc, you'll have some trouble.

Re: Survey Post Event

we use surveymonkey and just as Jeff said we do thsame with the link to the surevy as the CTA. We then set up a redirect thank you page in marketo and tell surveymonkey to redirect to this page when a survey is complete.

This will give me the members of X program who visited thankyou page and I can change progression stage to success.

But with the new Social engagement tool, namely Polls should be great at creating quick surveys. We dont subscribe to this function yet but could be a great work around.

Hi Ed,

Thank you for the insight.  Both your suggestion and Jeff's is what I am looking for until we decide to subscribe to the social feature.

Cheers,

Re: Survey Post Event

Hey Edward,
are you still using survey monkey? Or do you use the poll functionality?
