Salesforce and Marketo Sync Times - Can You Speed It Up?

I have read that you can set sync rules and criteria where some data/syncs have higher priority than others.

Our web developer is trying to create a way to pass 'high priority' leads to Marketo and have them sync with Salesforce almost immediately. We want to send leads that are 'fast-tracked' to Sales immediately and have that data sync take priority over, say, routine updates.

Does the Marketo API allow for rule-based syncing?

Hi Kara,

The 'Sync Lead to SFDC' flow step execute an insert or update upon execution immediately. These are done as single API calls and automatically take precendence over routine batch syncing, so you just need to set up the appropriate trigger campaigns to pass priority leads and updates up to SFDC.

Kara,

You need to build this into Marketo as a Lead Lifecycle Program and MQL flow. Your website can feed Marketo leads and then Marketo's logic decides whom to send over.
  1. Anonymous
  2. Engaged/Named
  3. MQL - threshold by Score
  4. MQL - Fast Tracked (form based or other conditions)
  5. SQL
  6. SAL
  7. Opp
  8. Won

And so on. But the key is to get the MQL flows setup based on target audience and behavioral triggers. The Sync to SFDC step Kenny mentions is part of that process and does auto sync the leads immediately. Remember that implicit syncs also work like Add to SFDC Campaign and Change Owner.
