Sales alert forwarding rules/CC rules

Hello all,

We are looking to forward web lead alerts (alerts that go to sales when someone fills out one of our web forms) to the appropriate Inside Sales Rep if the alert is sent to a Regional Sales Manager.  The only reason one of these alerts would go to the RSM would be because they are the record owner of that person in salesforce.  New leads go through salesforce auto-assignment (routing rules) to be assigned the appropriate ISR but pre-existing web leads go to their owner in sfdc.

Is there any way to accomplish this in marketo?  If not marketo then sfdc?  We want the alert to still go to the RSM but we need to forward the alert or cc the appropriate ISR since RSMs can often miss these alerts.

You can send an alert to both using the same flow or 2 different flows, preferably the same one.  But first, you need to make sure that there is a Marketo field that stores the value for the RSM.  You can then use that token in the Send Alert To Other Emails section.

Note: Don't think about it as forwarding because that will lead you down a path where you think you have to forward this.   You don't have to.

Yes, just add RSM Owner Email Address to the Other field on the Send Alert.


But you'd need to have the CRM provide that field, if it is not Account Owner.

Thanks Jim,

This is most likely what we are going to have to do.  I did not think that their would be an easier way.
