SFDC: Marketo comes up with an error when referencing a campaign with an underscore

I am using specific SFDC campaigns to determine which list to add various leads to in the flow of a smart campaign in marketo. I am using the "Add to List" flow step and using "If Member of SFDC campaign" in "campaign names" add to list1. An issue I have found is that marketo is coming up with an error for any SFDC campaigns that contain underscores in their names. The error reads: Bad value for SFDC campaigns. This occurs even when I select the name from the marketo "Add new values" list.

Anyone have an idea of how to solve this?

I recommend to file a ticket with Marketo support.

Hi Brian,

I just ran a test and it worked fine for me. To make sure the issue really comes from this, change the name of the campaign in SFDC and wait until is syncs to Marketo, then try again.

I had this type of problem once in the past, and i came because the initial campaign sync was in fact not completed or because the Marketo user in SFDC had not a full access to campaigns.

I just changed the name of one of these campaigns to remove the underscore and the filter worked fine. I think it has to do with the underscore since the marketo user in SFDC has full access.

Again, I changed the name of a campaign, inserting an underscore, and I could use the "add to SFDC campaign" flow step without any issue.

You probably need to log a support case.
