SFDC Campaigns - No sync on Member Status custom fields?

I am trying to use the custom fields I created in SFDC for Campaign Member Status and they do not appear in the picklist. I read in the community this has been noticed and requested in the past two years and I was wondering if there is a workaround or a plan for this feature.

Campaign Member Fields DO sync with Marketo but they are read-only. See the "Medium" field below. I assume you'd like to write data in those fields? If yes, vote for this idea
