Re: Performance Issues

The performance was fairly normal all day yesterday (European office hours).

It is important to mention I am connected through the public internet. No VPN, no privileged connection or anything else.

Performance problems, regardless the web application in use, are often caused by the connectivity between the two end points. Internet Service Providers may need to switch to alternative routes while carrying out proactive maintenance or reactively tackling network problems.

Please execute two important tests and upload the results as images if the problem persists:

1. In the terminal window (Mac: Applications > Utilities > Terminal, MS-Windows: Start - cmd)
type the command (Mac) traceroute app.marketo.com or (MS-Windows) tracert app.marketo.com

2. http://www.speedtest.net/

Re: Performance Issues

Hi Folks,

The performance of Marketo - or lack of is a particularly frustrating issue for someone like myself - who runs marketing for a company that specialises in Application and Website performance! Your speedtest advice is fine - but it doesn't resolve the issue, as the issue lies somewhere within your product.

There are many tools out there that Marketo should be using to address the very bad performance issues.

It's embarassing for me...here I am banging on about performance to our prospective customers but the page I want someone to register their details on takes 6 - 8 seconds to load! You're making lead gen very difficult.

Please pass this on to your product development team urgently!
I've not got a vested interested - our business doesn't service the US, just Australia and New Zealand - I'm just a frustrated customer.

I know what I'm talking about as performance is all my business does - we fix website and application perofrmance issues for software developers, website developers, and companies who understand that slow performance causes higher bounce rates and lower transaction or engagement levels.
