People performance report need to be delivered daily via email

I need to send the People performance report for any new lead on a daily basis. this report needs to be sent via email to my manager on a daily basis. 

 

How is this possible? what are the set ups that need to be incorporated in marketo for this.

Hello!

This is pretty simple! Here are the steps!

 

  1. Create a new People Performance Report in Marketo. 
  2. Go to the "Setup" tab of that new report, and change the "Person Created At" filter to use "Yesterday" as your filter. (Screenshot below)
  3. I would also update the "Group People By" to be by Day, so it says the specific day right in the emailed report. This should give you the report that shows how many people were created yesterday in your instance!
  4. Navigate to the Subscriptions tab of the report (screenshot below), and click on "New Report Subscription" toward the top. Enter the email addresses that should receive the report, the frequency they should receive it, etc. 

Done!

 

If you want different detail to show in the report besides just how many leads were created, try playing the with the "group people by" settings to get the right information on your report.

Thank you so much for your reply. One more question, in order to view new users/leads should I include smart list as below? Or should use some other criteria?

Nope, not necessary! The report type in general is focused around when contacts in your database were created, so that's just doubling up. You've already defined that you only want to see people who were created the previous day in the Setup tab! 🙂

Bingo. 

 

Check the report tab itself to see how it returns. It's going to give a count (by day) of everyone who was created yesterday. If you want different details instead of just a count, you can change how you group people to break it down however you'd prefer.

yes got it. so if we want to see the email addresses we need to select group by as " email"; can we add more than one field say email, first name, company etc? if so, how do we do that?Capture2.PNG

Yep, but you can only pick 1 in the People Performance report.

 

If you want ALL OF THE DETAILS about records that were created yesterday, you're better off creating a smart list asset (instead of a people performance report). Use a smart list filter of "Date was created" = Yesterday, then update your columns to include the data you want. 

 

Trouble with that is that you will only be able to include a link to the details of that smart list, it will not be in the email itself and you will not be able to include as an attachment. Someone has to click the download button each day to get the report, and once the report updates that link expires. Just something to understand!

Thanks so much for all your help; as of now we need the report to be sent via email on a daily basis; so I will go with people performance report.

No prob! You could always group by firm or something if that's a good indicator.
