Order of SF Sync

Hi all, we're seeing some cases that leads are added / imported to a program (for example: WP program that determines the acquisition program, the lead source etc.), which the program is already synced to SF campaign. This causes the lead to be synced immediately to SF, and only then it goes through other relevant smart campaigns (for example: smart campaign with "Lead is created" trigger)

It doesn't happen very often, but it does creates some headache. Is there a way to review and better control the order with programs - SF campaigns?

Thanks!

Itay

Re: Order of SF Sync

Yes, sure, any time you create new records and add them to a program that is sync'ed to SFDC immediately.

This is why you should never import leads in a program, but always in a list included in the program and then have a smart campaign process them correctly. For the same reason, you should never choose a program as the acquisition program during the import process but rather manage that after import in the same smart campaign. This point is very often overlooked

Re: Order of SF Sync

Hi Itay,

Yes, this is a common issue. I always have a "wait 5 minutes" or "wait 10 minutes" before the leads are added to the program on a fills out form (which is when this may happen). This leans that, in these flows, the "change program status" flow step comes at the end of the flow, after the wait.

Re: Order of SF Sync

Thanks Greg, does it apply also when importing a list?
