My org started using Marketo a few months ago and looking to relatively automate some campaigns but had a question about if it was possible + how to accomplish:
- Sent once a month
- Sent to those who meet external criteria so custom fields are involved (Example would be 8 out of 15 card swipes remaining)
- Person is not always on list - only receive email if external criteria is not met
Current campaign setup is:
- Member of Program (imported into program)
- Criteria change (date field that changes to end of month each list upload)
Sorry for the long setup, but my question is:
If smart campaign is set to "run through list once" - if someone is imported into the list in January and then are also on the list in February (with criteria changes) would the re-upload + criteria change trigger that person to receive the February email? Or would they be counted as already run?

Not sure if you are looking for someone to receive this email more than once if they meet the criteria, but the simplest workaround would be to update the campaign settings so a member can run through the campaign every time they qualify.
Additionally, if you are sending a message prompting action and a person does not meet external criteria month over month, you could track a separate smart list to see who does not meet your external criteria (who would therefore qualify for your monthly campaign email) AND who has already been sent this email. You would then have an additional list of leads you could send a variant email to with a different subject line to optimize your message.
