Mirroring Marketo database to SFDC - Has anyone done this?

Hi,

We are in the midst of an SFDC/Marketo migration. We currently use Marketo + MD Dynamics CRM and are moving to Marketo/SFDC.

One of the things we ar considering doing is mirroring the database. Here are the specifics

* We have around 1 million/leads and around 500k, marketable leads/contacts.
* We'd be mirroring the leads and using lead scoring. For leads that have not met our lead threshold, we'd keep them in a queue. Once they reach that queue they'd be assigned out to the sales rep
* When the leads hit the threshold, we'd flip a switch in Marketo, which would synch back to SFDC

Questions:

* Has anyone done this with a similar sized database? If yes, did you include hard bounces in the mirror or only unsubs and marketable leads?
* Any pitfalls to watch for/cautionary notes?

Many thanks in advance!

I haven't done this, but I imagine you'd want to remove old Leads and anyone who has bounced or become invalid w/o other activities. Dedupe too!

Nichole the 1:1 ratio is ideal.

We've seen customers with much larger data sets sync databases with no issue.

When was the last time you validated the email/refreshed the data.

1mm records is a lot.  Data ages like fish not wine, so it get's worse as it gets older not better.

Since you are paying/record in Marketo, it might save you a lot of $ to dedupe
