Measure Form Submits within specific time frame

Hello Community,

I have a little question:

I am trying to see whether my Form Submits in Google Analytics match with my results in Marketo. As a reference I chose the month November 2019.

To measure results in Marketo I created a Smart List that looks the following:

https://prnt.sc/qxx4vv

As a time frame I chose:

Date of Activity: between 11/1/19 and 11/30/2019.

But that doesn't match with my data from Analytics.

So I am thinking it may be correct to chose between 10/31/19 and 12/01/2019. Does that include 31/10 and 01/12?

What is correct if I wanna see the data for November?

Many Thanks,
Eric

Please paste the image inline into the thread, the attachment is very confusing.

I doubt the date range is the problem. Date1 - Date2 is inclusive.

You haven't explained how you're tracking the form fills in GA. You can't rely on built-in tracking: if you don't capture only the Forms 2.0 onSuccess event and use the hitCallback function in GA, your stats in Google will be wrong.

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

I don't have the permission to upload images to this thread. What more data do you need?

I will try to find out what your GA explanations mean but I assume that our GA data is correct. Or maybe it is not as the results differ slightly (591 form submits in GA and 546 form submits in Marketo).

Best,

Eric

Ugh, I guess they forgot to enable that when they changed the forum software over last week. Still, you can always insert the image (not an external page) as an <img>:

I see no reason to assume that. It's the Marketo Filled Out Form logs that are authoritative. If your GA hits don't reflect that same #, it's because you didn't take proper measures to make GA log a hit if -- and only if -- the Marketo submission is successful. (And if you didn't understand what I meant by onSuccess and hitCallback you didn't take those measures yet.)

You should be able to upload now (settings have been changed).
