MQL Alert - MQL Reason

Hi all!

I am hoping to add a bit of color to my MQL alerts (set up in Marketo). Looking to add something along the lines of what was the last action that triggered the person to become an MQL. For example, and MQL alert would come through and would have a token that would pull that this person filled out x form, clicked on x email, or registered for x webinar to become an MQL.

Any ideas on how to execute this?

Re: MQL Alert - MQL Reason

You could create a "MQL Reason" field and then upon MQL populate that field with one of a few different things depending on your instance setup. If you make good use of interesting moments you could fill it with "{{lead.Last Interesting Moment Type}} - {{lead.Last Interesting Moment Desc}} - {{lead.Last Interesting Moment Date}}" or whatever variation you like and then add the MQL Reason token to your email.

Another option would be to create a last program success field. This field would be populated by whatever program last had a success, or reached whatever status you wish. Then use the last program success field in the alert when a lead MQLs.

The main issue with both of these is ensuring the field in the email has been updated before the alert is sent, so may require some timing with wait steps to allow the campaigns to finish.
