Dear RTP specialists,
In order to test RTP, we have created a http://rtp.inficiences.com demo web site and an "Education" RTP segment with the following settings:
Now, we have a lead with the following value (Industry = Education & Executive Education)
This lead has been navigating to our http://rtp.inficiences.com demo web site, on which we are testing RTP and on which the RTP tags are set up. It also has filled out a Marketo embedded form on this site.
And yet, the lead does not appear in the Education segment. In the same time, we have set another segment call rtp visitors
And our lead does show up in this segment...
I have tried the navigation scenario from a cookie-clean browser, to no avail...
What are we missing ?
And also, the lead is not showing up in the RTP Lead list...
But it is clearly recognized on Marketo Landing pages (form prefill works well).
Has the lead filled out a form or clicked a link to inficiences?
PS. I am on an education network if you wanted to test the industry matching segment out.
Yes, the lead has entered the form. Apparently, the "Industries" filter (from RTP database) works well and detects any anonymous lead that comes to the site, but the "Industry" filter, which is mapped from a Marketo Lead Management Field does not seem to synchronize. Therefore RTP does not know the lead has entered "Education" in the "Industry" field on the form.
Support is looking into it.
Hi JD Nelson,
Perhaps I am just not familiar enough with how it is supposed to work. I created a boolean field in Marketo to indicated if a lead belongs a persona. Then, we created a segment and pulled in that Database field. In testing this I added myself to that persona (selected True for that Marketo field), but the web personalization widget is not showing up when I visit the web page, nor am I showing up in the segment.
Have you confirmed that you're still the tracked persona logged in? (I've seen a few times where people fill out a form as a different lead and now they're not who they think they are) -- assuming yes, have you made sure you're not suppressing the IP you're connected through (in Account Settings)? Have you come back to it 10 min later after activating? I've also seen when launching a web campaign that it takes about that long before propagating throughout the web.
