Is there an upper limit for channel statuses?

Pretty straightforward question: if I wanted to make a channel with x amount of statuses, would Marketo be able to support that? Bear in mind, I'm not looking to assign unique step values to each—I just want x amount of statuses.

How far up in count can x go? Does the system define a limit after which it won't recognize any more statuses?

I have been up to 20/25, without any issue.

Apparently, the step value can go quite high (I just tested 9 digits).

Not sure if there's a limit, but we have one channel with 18 different program statuses (and no issues):

Not aware of a hard limit. Wouldn't be surprised if it were 99. It's pretty rare to see more than 10 per channel.

EDIT: It does, in fact, look like you can go over 99 program statuses--I haven't hit a functional limit so far but will update this thread if something happens.

I would say the human brain can manage about 10 statuses, and after that you're wasting everyone's time!

All I can say at this time is that I'm working on a solution to a common Marketo issue.

Maybe I'll have more to show later this year?
