Is there documentation on how changing an email address in SFDC affects Marketo's record? For example, if an address is updated in SFDC, is there any way the address would not change in Marketo, and vice versa? How about how this affects contact de-duplication? In addition, we have multiple connected objects in SFDC that sync with Marketo (lead, contact, account, etc). Is there documentation on how de-duping and email address changes work when only one record is changed? Thanks for your help!
The Marketo-SFDC sync performs changes based on the SFDC ID of a record, so if Email Address is changed on one side, it will be changed on the either. This should not affect the records relationship to other objects at all.
