Deactivating Stream Emails and Negative Consequences

Our nurture program contains one stream and is set up to send emails bi-weekly. If we want all of the leads in the stream to receive the same email for the next send, is the best way to do this to deactivate all emails in our stream except for that one? If so, are there any negative consequences we should anticipate? If we want the leads to resume their normal flow after this one email is sent to everyone, is it as easy as reactivating all the emails that were deactivated and then they will automatically resume where they left off?

Re: Deactivating Stream Emails and Negative Consequences

Candace,

People in the stream will receive the next email they have not been sent (top to bottom) on the next cast. So if you want all people in the stream to receive the same next email, then drag that email to the top of the stream and at the next cast, all people who have not been sent that email will receive it. You can leave the email at the top of the stream since at the following cast, leads will resume where they left off with the next piece of new content.

Re: Deactivating Stream Emails and Negative Consequences

I would combine these two tips - Place new email in Position 1 and Edit Availability (unless you happen to want new leads to get this as their first email).

Hi Candace McCutcheon,

Because I'm a Marketo dork, here's another (easier in my opinion) way to do it - simply mark the content you don't want set out for the next send as unavailable in that particular time frame. Documentation: Edit Availability of Stream Content - Marketo Docs - Product Docs
