Dashboard using opportunity stages


My team would like to measure the effectiveness of our email marketing on moving people through our opportunity pipeline. Do you know of a way to use the opportunity stages to set up an email dashboard? Is it even possible? I believe that the correct way to do this is to set up segments for each stage and report based on those, but I could be wrong. Any advice is welcome!
