Connecting GoToWebinar dates in Marketo Form

Hi,

We have chosen GoToWebinar as our demo partner in Marketo. We have already set up the integration for our GoToWebinar account and it now shows as active. However, we are a little stomped on adding the provided dates that are connected through GoToWebinar to the form on our landing page.  Please see the attached image as reference ( the very first option).

Is this something that we will have to do through an API end, or is it automatically populated as a field while creating the form?

The dates come through once the Program is connected, however, you should setup local tokens to place in things like Dates, times, etc.

There are several threads on this and tips around.

{{my.WebinarDateTime}} = January 4, 2018 at 3pm PDT

{{my.WebinarTitleText}}=My great webinar

and then put those tokens in your assets.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for responding. Maybe I'm confused by the part where its added to the actual form. I know where to locate the tokens and I've also added the date but its still not showing up on our form on our landing page.

Hi Trevor,

Thank you for inquiring. We currently do not have any drop down fields. Our assumption was once you created a form, that we would be able to add a custom field or link from GoToWebinar that will populate the dates that are already in GoToWebinar. Are we doing this backwards?

No, it is not automatic.

The only automated parts are

  • GTW pushes the Date of Event to the Program. This is NOT usable for emails or landing pages or Forms.
  • Registered to GTW
  • Attended/no show from GTW

The rest is manual. You can scale this up using Program or Folder Tokens. There are good tutorials on the old Summit site, Etumos has one, and I believe marketingrockstarguides.com has some tips too. Not sure if I wrote it all out. I have a course that describes this in much more detail.

Without understanding your desired customer journey, it's a bit hard to recommend specific action. Why do you need a drop down? Can you point us to a page?

Hi Josh,

I can provide you an example of our customer journey. I will use the company Version One as an example. A link is provided here for your reference: http://info.versionone.com/product-demo-basics-signup.html

Version one has a weekly demo session scheduled every week at a specific time. On their website the customer can click a link that says "Join a live demo session!" That button will then lead them to the landing page which has a form to signup for the live demo sessions (scheduled through GoToWebinar).

At the top of the form you'll notice that it says "select date." When that person fills out the form, and they've selected their date, they are taken to a Thank You page which lets them know an email will be sent shortly, and when the autoresponder email comes in, it has all of their information with the date, and times of the webinar attached to it.

We are trying to figure out how to get the select dates and times feature (that is attached to our Go To Webinar information) to  attach to our form so that we can then add it to our autoresponder email.
