Communication limit: How many people are hitting it?

We've recently implemented a new communication limit and we're interested in seeing how many people are hitting it. Is there a way to see that?

Hi Micaela

Josh and Gregoire are correct that there isn't a report or ability to create a Smart List showing attempted sends over the communication limit threshold, however, you could see the number of people who have been sent emails equivalent to the limit in the past seven days (or single day) via a Smart List with this logic (using 3 as the communication limit in this example)...

No, there is not. Please vote up the Idea for this.

If you do get into the logs, there is a flag that says "Communication Limit Reached" on an Email Send if it is attempted.

Only Engagement Programs will attempt to re-send at the next Cast.

You can use Not Was Sent Email X to look for specific email sends.

You can also look at:

Not Was Sent Email X AND Member of Smart List IN "Original Qualification List"

to see who did not make it. Most of those should be Comms Limits errors in the log (assuming you excluded the unsubscribes, etc).

Mark's suggestion will work if the Comms Limit is 3 in 7 days because no one should get 4 in 7 days. But some emails may have overridden this limit.

Keep in mind that with no limits, this filter will show you everyone who received AT LEAST 3 emails in the past 7 days, so it could be 4, 5, 6....
