We are exploring a potential way we can assign a task to a Solution Rep based on the solution that the contact might be interested. We have 4 different solution reps assigned to each account.
I understand that out of the box, we can only assign tasks to Contact Owner or we need to explicitly assign to a specific SFDC user. However looking at the assignment from the Marketo side (See Below), there might be a potential way we can do this., if we can get the “Owner Person ID”.
This ID is different than the SFDC ID and I am not sure if Marketo has the capability to see this ID.
It's more like you do not have the capability to leverage that ID#.
You generally cannot assign a task outside the drop down options to Lead Owner, Account Owner.
There may be fancy ways to use an API to do this, but it's rarely worth it. Better to use Send Alert and leverage the Sent to function.
